Seahawks Media Combine

The NFL Combine

Every winter, the best college football players in the land head off to Indianapolis for the NFL combine. There they have the chance to show their prospective employers (All 32 teams in the Nationl Football League) how strong, fast and athletic they are. And each year, we “Average Joes” look at the numbers that these young men put up during the combine and make judgements about them. Who’s not fast enough. Who’s not strong enough. Who was impressive and who was not so impressive.

Writers & reporters walk the walk

Monday morning a bunch of “Average Joes” who cover the Seahawks for local Seattle media outlets got the opportunity to see how they measure up to the athletes that they normally REPORT on.

In the first ever  Media Combine, 24 local sports writers, anchors and media personalities gathered at the VMAC in Renton to test their athletic skills.

Much like the NFL Combine, participants at Monday’s Media Combine competed in the 40-yard dash, the broad jump, and cone drills. It was an interesting day to say the least, and The Barbershop (Yes, we are media!) was on hand to participate.

Well…. Sorta/kinda. Check out the action below on this episode of The Barbershop Show!
